Rubber rings (tensioning rubber rings) - flexible helpers for tarpaulins, banners and industry

Rubber rings, also known as rubber tension rings, rubber tension rings or expander rings, are indispensable aids when it comes to the secure fastening of tarpaulins, banners, covers or nets. Thanks to their high elasticity and resilience, they are a proven standard in both the commercial sector (e.g. construction, logistics, trade) and in private use (camping, garden, outdoor). Our rings have a diameter of 8 mm and are available in lengths of 20 cm, 25 cm and 40 cm - optionally with or without sturdy, galvanized S-hooks.

The tension rings are made of high-quality synthetic elastomer, which is resistant to tensile forces as well as to UV radiation and the effects of the weather. This means that the rings remain elastic even in strong sunlight and do not lose their elasticity. Thanks to their compact dimensions, they are easy to stow away and are ready for immediate use - whether for transporting goods, fastening tarpaulins or as tent and gazebo tensioners.

Important advantages at a glance

  • Robust tensioning force - ensures taut tarpaulin fastening and minimizes flapping in the wind.
  • High UV resistance - remains durable and dimensionally stable even in intense sunlight.
  • Versatile applications - ideal for trailer tarpaulins, construction fences, banners, scaffolding, tents or pavilions.
  • Gentle on the material - leaves no marks or stains on tarpaulin materials or fabrics.
  • Flexible mounting - optionally with or without galvanized S-hook for quick attachment.
  • Long service life - made of 100 % synthetic elastomer, tested up to 600 N (~60 kgF).

Areas of application for rubber clamping rings

Whether as a tarpaulin tensioner, banner fastener, tent elastic, expander strap with hook or elastic tensioning strap - the areas of application are almost unlimited. The rubber rings for are particularly popular:

  • Advertising banners and site fence tarpaulins - quick to erect, secure hold, no flapping noises.
  • Truck and trailer tarpaulins - reliably tensioned, even with strong vibrations or airstreams.
  • Tents, pavilions and awnings - practical, mobile fastening solutions for camping & outdoor.
  • Trade and industry - universally applicable for fixing, bundling and fastening.
  • Household & leisure - garden, hobby, transportation or as a replacement part for existing tarpaulin systems.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions about rubber clamping rings

Which length is ideal for which application?
20 cm is suitable for narrow eyelet spacing or small tarpaulins, 25 cm is the universal standard length, while 40 cm is perfect for longer distances and bulky covers.
Can the rubber rings remain outside permanently?
Yes, the clamping rings are weather-resistant and have a very high UV resistance (level 5). They retain their elasticity even after prolonged exposure to the sun.
Are the rings suitable for continuous commercial use?
Absolutely. With a tested load capacity of up to 600 N, they are also designed for industry and trade and can withstand even intensive loads.
What is the difference between variants with and without S-hooks?
Without hooks, the rings are fed directly through the eyelets and knotted. With hooks, the elastic bands can be attached and detached at lightning speed, which is particularly practical for frequent assembly and disassembly.
Can I use the rubber rings several times?
Yes, the rings are extremely durable and designed for repeated use. They retain their function even after many clamping cycles.
How much tension can the rubber rings withstand?
The clamping force has been tested at up to 600 N - which corresponds to around 60 kgF. This makes them more than sufficient for almost all tarpaulin and banner applications.
Do the rubber tensioning rings leave marks on the tarpaulins?
No, the elastic rings are gentle on the material and do not stain. Your tarpaulins and banners remain clean and undamaged.
Are special colors also possible?
We supply black as standard. For larger quantities, however, PMS special colors can be produced on request .
How are the rings packaged?
The rings are packed in bags of 25 pieces each. Depending on the length, 300-600 pieces are contained in one box . Up to 36 boxes can be transported per pallet.
Can the S-hooks be reordered individually?
Yes, S-hooks are also available separately and can easily be reordered if required.
What alternatives are there to rubber tensioning rings?
Alternatively, expander slings with ball, expander ropes by the meter or tensioning hooks can also be used - depending on the area of application.
