The MONOFLEX expander rope is our most robust rubber rope for demanding applications in industry, trade, transportation, advertising, events, outdoor and local authorities. It combines a 650-denier polyethylene (PE) cover with a monofilament rubber core including anti-UV additives – maximum abrasion resistance, UV-resistant, dimensionally stable when cut to size and with high resilience. 11) Can I use MONOFLEX in the marine sector?
Yes, PE coating is insensitive to moisture/salt. After exposure to salt water, rinse close to use to prevent crystallization on fittings.
12) How do I combine MONOFLEX with rubber tensioners?
With spiral hooks, carabiners, end sleeves, clamp connectors – depending on load & safety requirements. For series production: compression sleeves.
13) Difference between round vs. flat expander straps?
Round ropes (such as MONOFLEX) are more universal and glide better in eyelets; flat belts offer more contact surface, but are more sensitive to edges.
14) Is MONOFLEX food-safe?
No, it is not designed for this. Please ask for specially approved products for food-related applications.
15) What safety reserve should be planned?
Depending on the application, we recommend generous safety factors; never exceed the recommended elongation range. Always replace damaged ropes.
